In the context of DeFiChain domains, a reverse record allows someone to look up the domain name associated with a specific blockchain address.
In a web3 domain, when someone wants to interact with a decentralized application or service using a domain name, the domain name is first resolved to the blockchain address associated with it. The reverse record allows the reverse process, as it allows to look up the domain name associated with a blockchain address.
You may need a reverse record if you are running a decentralized service or application and want others to be able to easily find and interact with it using a domain name, or if you want to be able to verify that a specific blockchain address is associated with a certain domain name.
